I don’t know if these are treasures, but these are the PDF’s of the sourcing presentations I’ve done for Ancestry.com
- Citing Your Sources, Part 1 (live presentation on livestream)
- Citing Your Sources, Part 2 (live presentation on livestream)
Happy Sourcing!
Thanks for posting the presentations. I am still trying to backtrack after several years of not citing sources and wish I had known better.
I am in the same position as Jody Jones — I have purchased Eliz. S Mills ‘Evidence Explained’ but it is way over my head. Maybe I just need to study it more? Thanks for posting your presentation!!!
You will find the more you work with them, the easier it becomes. I will be doing sourcing presentations once a month, tune into those. Also, just pick a couple of record types and work on sourcing those. Once you get say Census records from 1850 to 1870 figured out, try 1880-1930. Don’t do it all at once!
Great information, thank you for sharing!
